BRAZIL TRAVEL GUIDE

Rio selaron steps

Brazil is one of the most diverse countries in the world. Within the same national border, you will find everything from paradise beaches to mountains, from forests to desertic dunes.

Brazil holds a special place in our hearts, not just because it is Fe’s home country, but because it is one of the most incredible destinations we have been to together. But don’t take our word for it, go have some caipirinhas by the beach and tell us what you think!

Below we have put together a few guides to help you plan your trip to Brazil. They are very unique because they mix Fe’s local tips with Edo’s foreign impressions.

Rent a car in Brazil

Brazil is an enormous country so you will have to pick where to go and plan your trip carefully. If you will be traveling through destinations that are close by, we recommend renting a car if you want more freedom. If you don’t own a Brazilian driving license, then you may have to present your original license accompanied by an International Driving Permit. Keep in mind that many car rental companies may not request to see your International Permit, as it is the driver’s responsibility to ensure they are within the law. Travel insurance

When traveling to Brazil from abroad, having international travel insurance is of utmost importance. To make sure you are covered in case something goes wrong, read about travel insurance for Brazil and always double-check if your travel insurance covers all your needs. SafetyWing is the company we use to get our own travel insurance and the only one we can truly recommend.

Booking a flight to Brazil

The best airports for international flights are the main airports in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. The international airport of Rio de Janeiro is called Antonio Carlos Jobim (GIG), and the one in Sao Paulo is called Guarulhos (GRU). Depending on where you fly from, you may also choose other destinations to land. Check the options and prices below.
