Our #1 place to stay in Bled is Hotel Park. They offer the best combo of incredible views, comfort, and an incredible spa & wellness center.

Where to stay in Bled: our personal tips

The best area to stay in Bled is the surroundings of the lake itself. If you will be looking at Google Maps, a good reference point is to look for Bled town. This is the center and where you will find most hotels and accommodations.

If you get any accommodation in Bled town, you will be able to explore the whole lake on foot, which is quite a good thing. If you get more remote accommodation, it would be good to have a car so you can drive back and forth to Lake Bled.

There are a few incredible hotels located around the lake, some offering first-class lake views from your balcony.

But, as you can probably imagine, the closer you are to the lake, the more expensive it gets. So, it will all come down to how much you are willing to spend on your Bled accommodation.

Best accommodation in Bled

To make things easier for you, I have divided my recommendations for the best places to stay in Lake Bled into the following categories:

I must take a moment to say it was very hard choosing only the best options because there are a lot of great places to stay in Bled. That being said, I am pretty confident that this list highlights the places that set themselves apart.

Slovenia - Lake Bled

Best wellness accommodation in Lake Bled

Lake Bled is known for its many options of wellness and spa accommodations. If you are looking for a relaxing weekend, check the options below.

Hotel Park

Get a room with a lake view – you won’t regret it! We had this incredible castle view

If I could choose only one place to recommend in Bled, this would be the one.

Hotel Park has a perfect location right in front of Lake Bled and offers a full-service experience. We stayed there this year and we were very happy with the comfort and quality of everything.

We had a room with a view of the castle and the lake (as you can see above), which was perfect! The hotel also offers the option of half-board stays where you get breakfast and dinner included – and there’s a wine fountain at the dinner buffet!

This was hands down the best stay we’ve had in Lake Bled so far.

Bled Rose Hotel

This is another great option for a wellness hotel in Bled.

One of the best things about Bled Rose Hotel is its location. It is super central, located right next to the lake. You can easily walk everywhere, which is a great thing.

Another important feature of Bled Rose is their restaurant, which has quite nice offers of local foods and wines.

Hotel Triglav

My last suggestion for wellness accommodation in Lake Bled is Hotel Triglav. This hotel is located on the other side of the lake, so you have views from a different angle than from Bled Town.

I love how unique Hotel Triglav is. The building has an architectural style that resembles Austrian and German buildings, which makes it stand out! The restaurant has incredible views of the lake, so does their indoor pool.

The main reason why I recommend Hotel Triglav as one of the best places to stay in Lake Bled is because I like the location a bit out of the city center.

Bled can be quite chaotic in the summer with the high number of tourists. This is one of my favorite areas of Bled because it is quieter and you have some of the most beautiful views around you.

Most unique places to stay in Bled

If you like staying in unique places, this section is for you.

Here, I handpicked accommodations in Bled that had something that really made them special in their own way.

Old Bled House

This incredible place is a 300-year-old farmhouse that was renovated into a charming and rustic hotel.

I love how the owners kept the original touches of the house with wooden interiors. It may not be the most luxurious place, but this is one of the most charming places to stay in Lake Bled in my opinion.

As a bonus, you also get to indulge in a great restaurant that serves locally sourced food and drinks.

Ribno Alpine Hotel

Ribno Hotel is located in the village of Ribno, which is just outside of Bled.

What makes this place special and unique is that it is the first zero-waste hotel in Slovenia. They completely incorporated sustainability concepts into the hotel, making it a very unique place to stay.

I love that the hotel is surrounded by forest, making it a very peaceful option for a place to stay in Bled. I do recommend renting a car if you choose to stay here.

Garden Village Lake Bled

Have you ever dreamed of sleeping in a treehouse?

Garden Village makes it happen in the utmost style. They take glamping to the next level, with incredible chalets and treehouses available for couples and families.

I love how their property is located just by the river, so you really have the feeling that you are totally immersed in nature while being only a few minutes away from Lake Bled.

Private accommodation in Bled

I know that many people prefer to stay in apartments instead of hotels for the convenience of having your own kitchen and space. We are a bit like that too, we tend to prefer apartments to hotels in many cases.

These are my top picks for private accommodation in Bled:

Apartments Vila Cvetka

This place is ideal for small families or groups since they offer a few options for 4-person apartments.

The building is located within walking distance of Lake Bled and very close to the city center. You can do everything on foot from here.

This is a great option for a place to stay if you do not have a car because it is very close to where the bus from Ljubljana stops. You can easily walk to the accommodation from the bus stop.

Lakeview Guesthouse & Chalet

This beautiful chalet offers small and cozy apartments with incredible lake views.

They are located close to the train station, on the opposite side of Bled town. This is approximately the same area as Hotel Triglav, which as I said before, is one of my favorite locations in Bled.

If you have the chance, book a room with a balcony with a view of the lake. Trust me – it will be one of the best places to stay in Lake Bled and it won’t cost you a fortune!

Best budget accommodation in Bled

Traveling on a budget can be quite hard in Bled because, on average, the price for accommodation in this area is on the expensive side.

I did my best to pick a couple of options that give you the best bang for your bucket.

Hotel Starkl

I wouldn’t consider this hotel cheap per se, but it is definitely the most affordable option for a place to stay literally in front of Lake Bled. The combination of location & price makes this quite a good deal.

Prices vary a lot depending on the season and availability, but at the moment I am writing this article, I can see rooms for only 100 EUR a night, which is quite a bargain at this location.

Hotel Starkl is a small hotel with a modern touch. The rooms have been recently renovated so you can expect nice and comfortable installations.

Vila Lipa

If you are truly traveling on a budget, Vila Lipa can be a great option for a place to stay in Lake Bled.

The property is located in Bled town and they offer a few different options of rooms with shared bathrooms. The setup is quite simple but provides good comfort and affordable prices.

Vila Lipa is located quite close to the lake so you can easily reach it on foot.

One great thing about Vila Lipa is that they offer free parking for the guests. I do recommend getting in touch with them beforehand to make sure a spot will be available if you will be traveling during the high season because places can run out.

Best camping and glamping experiences in Bled

Last but not least, Lake Bled is also a great destination for camping and glamping. Since open camping is not allowed in Slovenia, you need to book a place at a proper campsite if you will be traveling with an RV or want to set up your tent overnight.

Here are my recommendations for camps to stay in Lake Bled:

River Camping Bled

This is probably the most famous camping in Bled. It is located right at the entrance of the city and they have a lot of space for tents and RVs.

I like how spacious the place is, but I think it has one big downside: it is quite far from the lake. This is a good option to stay for a few days if you will be traveling with a bike, though.

Camping Bled

This is the best camping to stay in Lake Bled, in my opinion.

It is located on the opposite side of the lake to Bled town. This is the only accommodation located in this corner of the lake, which makes this camping quite unique.

The best part about staying in Camping Bled is that there is a small beach located literally in front of the campsite. You will have 3 minutes from your tent or RV to the beach. It cannot get any better than this.

Ribno Alpine Glamping

If you are interested in a glamping experience, Ribno Alpine Glamping is a good option.

It is located in Ribno village, a few minutes out of Bled. Because of this, I recommend it only if you will be traveling in a car.

What makes Ribno Glamping unique enough to be included in this list of the best places to stay in Bled is that each chalet has a hot tub outside. The chalets are simple but cozy, providing an overall very positive experience.

What you need to know before booking accommodation in Bled

Now that you know the best places to stay in Lake Bled, let me give you a few tips to make sure you secure the best deals and places:

  • Book in advance: Places in Bled sell out fast during the high season (between June and August). If you find a place you like, don’t sleep on it.
  • Check for parking: Finding parking places in Bled can be quite chaotic and expensive. If you will be traveling with a car, I strongly recommend booking a place that offers free parking on-site so you won’t have to worry about this.
  • Stores and restaurants are mostly located around Bled town: If you will be staying in a remote location or apartment, make sure you stock up beforehand.
  • Don’t get discouraged by the prices: Accommodation in Bled tends to be on the more expensive side. To make your trip more affordable, you can try staying in Bled during weekdays or booking your trip out of the high season.
